First half of the year with Paperclip Art...

Hi all,

I am in a Face Book group called PaperClip Art and they have a challenge to created and swap paperclips all with a theme.. This year they have two themes each month, one simple and the other theme is to create paperclips with more thought.. Here are mine for January to June..

January Theme One - A word for the year..
I chose 'Colour" as that is what I want more of in my life..
I created both themes with alcohol ink..

Theme Two - Goal

I again chose 'Colour' as that is my goal for 2019..

February  Theme One - 'Pink'

I punched out hearts on a paper pad from My Mind's Eye 'The Sweetest Thing' and added a charm on the paperclip for more interest.

Theme Two - Things I love to Do

For this theme, I made a little book and wrote on each page the things I love to do..

Read, Watching Movies, Crafting, Quiet time, Walking in the Rain, and my favourite is Learning new things..

March  Theme One - Games

I must admit I had fun creating this one..The stamp is from Tim Holtz 'Creative Collages"

I created a charm from a numbered circle.

Theme Two - Improved Health (how would you feel)

Straight away 'On Top of the World' came to mind..

April Theme One - Animal I don't own.

I wanted to go outside the box a bit for this so made mine the dolphin and fish..

I added real tiny shells on the anchor. 

Theme Two - Contentment/ Peace

I really had to stretch the imagination for this, then it clicked, when do I feel the most contentment? That is when I am caravanning.. Hence the caravan paperclip..  

May Theme One - Paper Clip on a Paperclip

I am a steampunk girl though to be honest I really don't create too many art pieces. I don't know why actually. I combined my love of gears, cogs and wings and voila it was born..

Theme Two - Open Minded

I thought how on earth would I create a paperclip for Open Minded? By chance I had this stamp on my desk for another project and decided why not use the stamp with a open mind filled with lots of tiny things.. 

June Theme One - Ribbons

I have a few planners and books I have created and thought why not make this theme to place in them.. I got all my little bits and pieces of ribbon and adhered to a piece of cardboard. Once dry I splashed some Gesso over top and attached a pin and charm

Theme Two - Pamper Yourself

Oh my was this a hard one as I very rarely do that, so for me I chose a dress that once I lose weight I am going to buy which is highly expensive.. It is a 50 style dress and I love it..

Here are the six I chose to send to my swap partner..

I placed them in little clear bags and die cut a doily and circle and folded them over the top of the bag.. A bling on top finished it off nicely.. 

I wanted to send them in something different than a book which is how I usually send them.. So I recycled a paper bag and a napkin..

The Paperclip art pieces fit in beautifully..
