Hi all,
Today I am making an expandable envelope pouch with the gorgeous new Vintage Tea Collection from Couture Creations.. I intend to fill this up with bits and bobs I make for the next couple of months and then I will do a video to show you all of them when I am finished.. I will add the link here when I do.. There are heaps of ideas on you tube, 'Treasured Books' being one of my favourites.
So, I started off with 8 envelopes and trimmed the flap of them all. You can use any envelope of your choosing. I placed double sided tape in the center only, but you can cover the whole envelope if you like. I just like the effect of this with only the middle done.
Line the envelopes up and stick together front to back as shown. I added more tape to both the front and back envelopes to have a good bond with the pattern paper. Measure a piece of patterned paper (mine was 12 inches x 8 1/4 inches) having a 1/8th inch extra on the sides of the envelopes. Fold the paper up leaving 1/8th inch for the front of the envelopes.
Fold over the top and decorate as you choose. I punched out a scallop circle and added a big brad, then wrapped twine around the brad and then around the pouch.
The envelopes were too white so I adhered the strips off the edges of the 12 x 12 paper pages to add some interest.
I hope I have inspired youto create glorious thingsHugsDonna xxFor Stockists click the link below:https://couturecreations.com.au/My Blog: http://funtobehadhere.blogspot.com/
