Serenity Shadow Box Card - CC

 Hi all,

I wanted to create a card for you and what a better one than a shadow box card. 

Cut two pieces of white cardstock at 6 1/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches, score at 1/2 inch and 1 inch on the longer sides as shown. Cut a circle out of the front piece then cut a smaller circle and adhere on the back of the front piece to give you a border.  Add the back items on the second piece of cardstock. Place the seahorse on a piece of acetate and adhere that in-between the two pieces of cardstock where you hold the card. Adhere the card together as shown. Add a seagull with 3D foam tape and some ephemera on the front of the card as shown. Add two strips on the handle of the card as shown. This card is interactive as when you pull the handles the seahorses move. I have a video to show you how the card is put together and how it moves.. Enjoy...

The Gift of Giving Card Box by Donna

 Hi all,

I love Christmas and the Gift of Giving Collection is wonderful to work with. 

How gorgeous is everyone's projects on the blog..

I created a set of cards and wanted to place them in a box as a gift ..

So I made this pizza box to hold them in and knew I wanted to use the gorgeous 

The Gift of Giving Singing Candles Die - CO727912 on the cover of the box.

I cut the box from the Garnet Cardstock - ULT200067 

12 inches x 8 inches, score at 1 inch, 5 1/2 inches, 6 1/2 inches, 11 inches. Turn the cardstock and score at 1 inch and 7 inches. Cut as shown. 

All the mats to fit the box.

Cut three white mats at 5 3/4 inches x 4 1/4 inch

Cut two pattern pieces at 5 5/8 inches x 4 1/8 inch

Cut six white cardstock at 5 3/4 inches x 3/4 inch

Cut six pattern paper pieces at 5 5/8 inches x 5/8 inch

Cut eight white cardstock at 4 1/4 inches x 3/4 inch

Cut eight pattern paper pieces at 4 1/8 inch x 5/8 inch

Ink all the edges lightly with Memento Luxe Ink Pad Rhubarb Stalk 

Adhere all the pattern paper to the white pieces except one large white piece of cardstock which goes on the inside base.

Put the box together first then adhere the strips on as this covers up all the joins of the box.

Outside of the box, Adore this paper.

I did this the hard way, what I should have done was die cut this with a adhesive backing lol. 

I die cut The Gift of Giving Singing Candles Die - CO727912 out twice, once in the Matte Gold Mirror Board C0725410  and once in the Garnet Cardstock - ULT200067 I then carefully adhered all the gold insides of the die to the red die cut as shown.

I added three pearls on two corners and adhered the gorgeous The Gift of Giving Singing Candles Die - CO727912 with 3D Foam tape.

I also die cut the Peace On Earth Mini Die - CO727921 several times to build up the layers and adhered to the inside cover.

All six cards fit inside the pizza style box nicely.

The Gift of Giving Card Set by Donna

 Hi all, 

Can you believe Christmas is nearly here? I love the Gift of Giving papers and reckon the papers 4 piece was perfect for a set of cards and as there were two pieces of the same paper in the collection pack, I knew I was going to do some fussy cutting..  I also wanted to show you how easy it is to create wonderful cards using minimal items.

All the pieces for the cards. All cards are A5 size.

The first mat which I used from several cardstocks - Firefly, Leprechaun and Vermillion (all available from Couture Creations)  was cut at 

3 3/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches and adhered to the card base.

I embossed the second mat with the Superpower Puff embossing folder , size 4 inches x 5 5/8 inches and adhered this to the coloured cardstock.

I then placed all the cut aparts (that is what I call them) from the papers 4 on top of the embossed mat with 3D foam tape. 

How cute is this die from the The Gift of Giving Holly Border Mini Die Set - CO727916 which I cut out in Gold cardstock. I also fussy cut the small flowers from the second piece of papers 4.

Using 3D foam strips I adhered the flowers on top of the card with the holly leaves underneath.

I also fussy cut the envelopes and again popped it up with 3D foam strips..

How pretty is this card, I really wanted to leave it quiet simple as the tree is gorgeous..

I used the stars from the The Gift of Giving Diecut Ephemera Set - CO727909 to make a template to cut them out in gold.

A little shine to make the roses pop..

How divine is this card!! A simple background with a note card from the The Gift of Giving Diecut Ephemera Set - CO727909 was perfect for the centre of the cut apart. I then added 3D foam tape under the Santa to allow him to pop. A Merry Christmas sticker adhered to gold and popped on the card with the 3D foam tape gave the card a finished look with the three emerald pearls on top.

The candle card was nearly perfect on its own so all I did was fussy cut the candles and popped them on with the 3D foam tape and used a Merry Christmas from the The Gift of Giving Diecut Sentiment Set - CO727908 Pretty Pretty..

Candy Cane card was fun to create. I fussy cut the pinecones and the flower and leaves and placed them on with 3D foam tape. A Merry Christmas on gold was perfect to say I'm finished.

Believe in the Magic card is simply gorgeous and with the fussy cut flower to give it that extra lift just made this card beyond pretty in real life.

A Box of Cards - Dancing With The Beast - AVSC

 Hi all,

Here we are again and this time I have a box full of cards using the 4 in x 4 in cut - apart's from 

the paper kit. I cut them down to fit on a 4 in x 4 in card base.. 

Theme:

Harry Potter v's Twilight  

'Dancing With The Beast'

Lets start with all our cut outs.

I sprayed Black Iridescent Spray on white cardstock to become the backing for the cut- apart's.

With all the cards, I used this as a background and placed a black doily underneath for interest.

Card 1. My favourite card . I fussy cut the books from a cut -apart and placed it on the card with 3D foam tape. I added a spiderweb and spider as it looked too bare. 

Inside of each card I place a different strip of paper and some washie tape just to make it look nice.

I liked this one so all I used was the Dimensional Magic and Kindy Glitz plus two pearls.

I used Dimensional Magic and Kindy Glitz on all the cards and this looks gorgeous in the light.

I struggled with this cut apart, so I punch out photo corners added a broom adhered with 3D foam tape and went around the wording with a chalk marker and a glitter clear pen. 

I am not a green person but have to be honest I really like this.. Simple but effective. Some Kindy Glitz and Dimensional Magic on the words with 4 tiny pearls and a spider with a green back. 

I drew a line around the middle section then added washie tape to the bottom. Using a shimmer pen to highlight all the wording makes it pop. ( though I have to be honest it does not show in any of these photos lol). Photo corners and a spider finishes the card.

I really like the simplicity of this one. A little washie tape on the top and bottom, kindy glitz and dimensional magic on the wording with a shimmer pen on the scroll with a black pearl and I just loved it. 

The only thing this cut apart needed was kindy glitz on the Magical word and the stars and two tiny red bling on the scroll work.

I fell in love with this quote and thought all it needed was some fussy cut books and some dimensional magic . A strip of washie tape on the sides and it was done.

I cut a box down and painted it with black paint.

I then angled the box using a stanley knife. I wanted to show the owl papers on the sides so I didn't 

place any embellishments on them. 

This cut apart matted on to black cardstock for the front was perfect. I added a hat and spider with 3D foam tape. Love this...

All four projects together..

My favourite was the Hermione card, I just adore this stamped image..
