Photo Album -CC

 Hi all,

What a gorgeous collection Couture Creations have for us. Blues By You Collection So pretty that I decided to make a photo album/folder.

Cut three pieces black cardstock at 10cm x 20cm, make a mark in the center on the 20cm side and fold both ends into the mark. Do all three pieces and glue one end to each other standing up so the middle piece will have both side glued (as in photo 1). Cut another three pieces of cardstock at 10cm x 30cm Score at 10cm & 20cm. Adhere all three pieces in the middle as shown in photo 1. Your base is now done.. I cut the mats with assorted papers in the kit and made two envelopes with tags, two fold envelopes with lift up flaps and three pockets along the center folds. I left two white and stamped one with You Are Amazing.  (just a warning, do not make this with bulky items as it will not close, ask me how I know lol).. I am going to put photos in this as a gift.

To make the fold envelope I cut an 18cm x 8cm and score it 4cm each end. I then punched a 2 1/2 inch circle and did the ends as shown in photo 2. I did need to trim it down a fraction but it worked as I couldn't find my geometry compass.

Dreams Folio -CC

 Hi all,

Just by using a different coloured background cardstocks with the Blues By You Collection will make all the difference and give you heaps of possibilities.. I love this collection. I decided to do a simple folio for you today. 

Cut a base cardstock at 11 3/8 in x 6 in, score at 2 5/8in & 7in Round corners. On the 7in line punch two holes 3/4 in from each side. (string holes).  Cut pages @ 8in x 5 1/8in, fold in half on the 8in side, round the corners of the pages. Slip the pages under the string inside and fold over covers.

My Take on Wendy keep Sake Box Challenge -AVSC -NSD

Hi all,

Finally I made Wendy's keepsake Box for the Aunty Veras Scrap and Craft  NSD challenge..

Thank you Wendy for the tutorial which you can find here.

p.s I will be making the journals to go into it later as I love how she created the spine.

Wendy Keep Sake Box

The box is made now for the fun stuff decorating..

I love this piece of paper but wanted to make a shaker card for the front of the box so I cut the middle bit out and used the frame as the shaker.

I stamped and die cut the sun flowers from Heartfelt Creations and after shaping them glued tiny beads in the middles.

The shaker card made for the front. I followed Sue's challenge here when I made my journal and called it 'It's all about me'..

One of my favourite things is butterflies. I love them all.

The box with the lid off and by the way I love how Wendy designed the lid..

The journal and Keepsake Box ...

I couldn't find a handle so created one out of paper and believe or not a sample of wall paper.

I sewed around the handle to give it strength..

Do You Remember - Nat's Challenge for NSD May AVSC

Hi all,

Over on Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft AVSC there is a challenge the Creative Team has going to 

celebrate National Scrapbooking Day NSD which is all of May.

I love this album so created my version of Nat's following her challenge..

I stamped calico and placed rings and hand dyed ribbons to close it.

I added a key and the tree of life on a chain.

I love how this turned out and will be very busy finishing this album..

Do You Remember - Sue's Challenge for NSD May AVSC

Hi all,

Over on Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft AVSC there is a challenge the Creative Team has going to 

celebrate National Scrapbooking Day NSD which is all of May.

I love this idea of making a journal all about ME.. Sounds conceited I know but when I'm really old my kids can look back on this and say oh I remember mum doing that or liking that so I think it is a great thing..  I am going to make Wendy's project as well so follow along with me to place this album in. I guess that is two projects rolled into one lol.

I chose this box to start with as it has a large spine.. (and my daughter ate all the bikkies, not me lol).

The paper is from Bo Bunny and is called Country Garden which is one of my favourites. I guess that is why I chose it lol.

The finished cover. I created a shaker front with Count Your Blessing. Butterflies are another favourite thing of mine..

The journal from inside. I stitched all around the edges and along both sides of the spine to reinforce the strength.. I added washie tape from Aunty Vera's which I love..

I made three signatures and again reinforced the spine ..

 This album is going to be all about me so 

I wrote a list of things I am going to include in this so I am going to be a busy girl indeed..

I love how this turned out and will be very busy finishing this album..
