Lest We Forget Book - April 2020 Couture Creations

Hi all,

Here I am again for Couture Creations using the wonderful Lest We Forget Collection.
I love this piece of paper CO727677 Papers 3 and wanted it on the cover of whatever I was going to create.. In this case a small book..  I thought the Cross Mini Die  and the Lest We Forget Die were perfect to showcase it..

The book opened to show you all the pages.

I adore the CO727690 Anzac Day die, the CO727684 Standing Vigil Man die and the 

CO727686 Poppy die from the Slouch Hat die set. 

I fussy cut the flower from CO727706 Papers 7 and the stamped Poppy Leaves CO727692..Popping it up on Foam Tape with the title of the paper collection on the leaves was all it needed on this page..

How wonderful are these CO727693 Boots Mini Stamps, combine that with the Anzac Day stamp and the Growing Together Poppy Stamp and you have two wonderful pages.. I did heat emboss both the Growing Together Poppy stamp set and the Anzac Day stamp and it looks wonderful in real life..

The CO727696 Eternal Flame Die with the gold behind it really stands out on this page.. A fussy cut Poppy and leaf and the page is finished .. I adore the CO727697 Memorial Mini Stamp and knew I had to hand write the Anzac Ode We Will Remember Them. I highlighted the stamped image to stand out more and glossed over him to give a raised effect.. 

How gorgeous is that CO727681 Layered Poppy Mini Die and the Poppy leaves stamp.. 

The Slouch Hat with the mini Poppy is fantastic.. 

The back two pages has computer generated words and the fussy cut

 CO727691 Open Poppy Mini Stamp and CO727698 Bugle Mini Stamp.

April Flower Tag Pocket Book - Life Within The Seed 2 - AVSC

Hi all,

Can you believe we are in  April already; it seems I say this every month but it is so true
 'Where does the time go'.. 

I love this kit from Aunty Vera, it is so versatile and so much fun to create with..

I made a tag pocket book with three tags, I hope you like it.

Cut a piece of cardstock 8 1/4 inches x 5 3/4 inches. Score 3 7/8 inches and 4 3/8 inches.
Cut a piece of cardstock for the pocket at 5 1/2 inches x 4 inches, Score 1/2 inch and 1 inch around three sides. Cut the pocket as shown. 

Cut four plain Mats for the Tag Book 5 1/2 inches x 3 5/8 inches and two strips for the 

spine 5 1/2 inches x  3/8 inch. Cut three patterned mats at 5 3/8 inches x 3 3/8 inches.

For the pocket cut one plain cardstock at 3 3/8 inches x 2 7/8 inches

One patterned paper at 3 1/8 inch x 2 3/4 inch

Cut three strips 2 7/8 inches x 3/8 inch

Attach the pocket as shown.

Cut four tags 3 inches x 4 1/4 inch.

I used the smallest of the Grand Label Four to cut the tag tops.

I used the yellow tag for the cover with all the chipboard goodies from the kit..

I also cut the name BoBunny from the paper to give the tag a little interest.. 

The washie tape looks just right for the rabbit..  

Opened book.

Look at all the lush colours. and lots of eye candy..

The three tags..

Using washie tape to highlight area's and a chipboard frame from the Provincial wooden flourish pack is all you really need.  I couldn't help myself, I had to include some of the mini bunnies as they are so cute..

Inside tags:  Tag 1. I just love, love, love this stamp set Illustrated Garden from Tim Holtz. I stamped this on a tag first then on to assorted papers and fussy cut the leaves and flowers out. I matched them up to the stamped imaged and added tiny beads for the centres.. My favourite tag..

Tag 2. How darn cute is this chicken from the Eggstra Special stamp set.. I stamped the images onto the gorgeous paper and die cut the images using the matching dies.  Again I used assorted 

washie tape to bring it to life..

Tag 3.  I used chipboard flowers as the centre focus and of course added a whole bunch of tiny bunnies sitting in the long grass washie tape..

Loaded Flowers - Nervous at Night - AVSC

Hi all,

I love Halloween and created a Loaded Wooden Handbag for Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft, so I decided to make some flowers to place in the hand bag.  I punched a 1 inch circle and placed some glue all over it as you can see in the photo below. 

 I pleat the orange crepe paper as shown around the punched circle.. 

Voila, a flower is born..

I stamped the mean looking pumpkin from the Spooky Scribbles  several times using Orange Ink.

I then went around the eyes, mouth and hair line with a black pen and coloured them in with  Metallic Markers . After fussy cutting the pumpkin I punched a 1 1/4 inch glitter foam circle to place on the back of the pumpkins. 

A die cut spider web   (my favourite) on top of the crepe paper flower and it is done..

A mean looking orange flower.

A mean looking yellow flower.

A mean looking black flower.

All three flowers together..

I decided to place the flowers in a bag to put in my loaded hand bag. I cut a 7 inch x 3 1/2 inch piece of black cardstock and matted it with some of the fun paper at 6 3/4 inch x 3 1/4 inch. I then used a tiny piece of double sided tape on the back of the flowers and placed them evenly on the cardstock. 

I made a heading with one of the cut aparts on black cardstock and placed a die cut spider with a Graphic 45 Matte Pearl Gem for the body..

Flower Book- The Life Within The Seed - AVSC

Hi all,

Here we are again for a project that I loved creating.. A book filled with wonderful 

images of flowers and their names from the Bo Bunny Cottontail paper pack ..
It was so easy to create..
(Warning: a heavy pictured post)

I embossed two pieces of cardstock one watercolour paper and one normal cardstock, then I rubbed Versa Mark ink over the raised edges and clear embossed it..

I sprayed the gorgeous (I have to get more colours) Distress Oxide Ink - Cracked Pistachio, wiped it over with a cloth and dried it.. Loved how it looks in real life..

For the book you will need an A4 piece of strong cardstock, fold in half, turn and fold in half again.. Bring the ends to the middle crease and burnish both sides.. Open up and you will have 8 panels as shown.. Cut from the first score line to the third score line then cut down the middle from the cut line as shown.. 

Fold over and open up as shown.. Decide if you are going to have any tags at all and adhere the book together to allow for tags..I adhered the bottom only on the two sides. 

Cut our your panels from a piece of Bo Bunny cut-away cardstock and two pieces of hard cardboard at ?/ and two pieces of the gorgeous paper in the kit at ???

Fold over the paper on your covers and adhere the inside..

Using the gorgeous stencil, spray a little of the Distress Oxide over it and let dry..

Not a lot of spray but it looks brilliant..

Cut a panel from the embossed card you did earlier and adhere to the cover.. Glue the cover and back to the book pages..

Adhere your cut-aparts to the pages and decorate the cover of the book..

A little Tea Dye Distress ink on the wooden flourish and flowers looks brilliant..
