Halloween ATCoins - HHSMA

 Hi all, 

Another swap for me with HHSMA 

I am in a Facebook group called 

Handmade Happy Mail Swaps Australia  

This swap was for three ATCoins which is Artist Trading Coins. They measure 2 1/2 inches round and the swap was for Halloween. I created these and made pockets to house them in. I added a flower made from crepe paper with a gold sparkly centre. Tooo much fun to have..

A Box of Cards - Dancing With The Beast - AVSC

 Hi all,

Here we are again and this time I have a box full of cards using the 4 in x 4 in cut - apart's from 

the paper kit. I cut them down to fit on a 4 in x 4 in card base.. 

Theme:

Harry Potter v's Twilight  

'Dancing With The Beast'

Lets start with all our cut outs.

I sprayed Black Iridescent Spray on white cardstock to become the backing for the cut- apart's.

With all the cards, I used this as a background and placed a black doily underneath for interest.

Card 1. My favourite card . I fussy cut the books from a cut -apart and placed it on the card with 3D foam tape. I added a spiderweb and spider as it looked too bare. 

Inside of each card I place a different strip of paper and some washie tape just to make it look nice.

I liked this one so all I used was the Dimensional Magic and Kindy Glitz plus two pearls.

I used Dimensional Magic and Kindy Glitz on all the cards and this looks gorgeous in the light.

I struggled with this cut apart, so I punch out photo corners added a broom adhered with 3D foam tape and went around the wording with a chalk marker and a glitter clear pen. 

I am not a green person but have to be honest I really like this.. Simple but effective. Some Kindy Glitz and Dimensional Magic on the words with 4 tiny pearls and a spider with a green back. 

I drew a line around the middle section then added washie tape to the bottom. Using a shimmer pen to highlight all the wording makes it pop. ( though I have to be honest it does not show in any of these photos lol). Photo corners and a spider finishes the card.

I really like the simplicity of this one. A little washie tape on the top and bottom, kindy glitz and dimensional magic on the wording with a shimmer pen on the scroll with a black pearl and I just loved it. 

The only thing this cut apart needed was kindy glitz on the Magical word and the stars and two tiny red bling on the scroll work.

I fell in love with this quote and thought all it needed was some fussy cut books and some dimensional magic . A strip of washie tape on the sides and it was done.

I cut a box down and painted it with black paint.

I then angled the box using a stanley knife. I wanted to show the owl papers on the sides so I didn't 

place any embellishments on them. 

This cut apart matted on to black cardstock for the front was perfect. I added a hat and spider with 3D foam tape. Love this...

All four projects together..

My favourite was the Hermione card, I just adore this stamped image..

Spiderweb Card - Dancing With The Beast - AVSC

 Hi all,

It's my turn on the blog today and I would love to show you a card I created using the Witches and Wizard Papers with some help from the Spiderweb die from Sizzix TH.. 

 Theme:

Harry Potter v's Twilight  

'Dancing With The Beast'

I made the base from white cardstock which is 4 in x 4 in sq. 

Place the top mat on the card before you cut it out and a mat on the back but only place a temporary glue on the back piece, You are in fact going to cut through three layers.. That way it matches up.. 

Using a Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities die I cut the shape I wanted which was the 

Big Scalloped Oval.

Adhere the spiderweb to the back of the cover as shown, ( I just added a little double sided tape to hold it in place). then adhere the back mat on top to cover all the mess.

See it worked no mess. Just to clarify this is the back of the front of the card. 

(did I just confuse you?) Love that owl paper..

Place a mat on the inside, I chose the parcel paper and it is wonderful..

Add bits and bobs, in this case it was lots of die cuts from the Frightful Things Die - Tim Holtz Sizzix 

You can see straight through the card with the spiderweb which gives it a really neat effect.

I fussy cut two words 'Spells' for the front and 'Charmed' for the inside.

I adhered a ghost coming through the web to the front, I was originally going to place it between the layers but I liked it showing. 

I made a eye ball behind the tree. 

I wonder if the eye ball belongs to the witch that crashed into the tree? Her poor broom looks beat up doesn't it!!

I thought the inside was too plain so I adhere another dementor inside the card and also placed washie tape around the mat.

I don't think I want to meet these spiders..

I think the ghost is even scared of the spider lol..

Hi all,

My first project for October and it is my favourite month as its all about Halloween and HP for me..

A friend asked me if I could make all cards this month as it was all she made. I agreed as another friend said while she loves what I create she would never do it as she only makes cards as well. So for all you card makers out there here is my take on Dancing with the Beast theme..

Theme:

Harry Potter v's Twilight  

'Dancing With The Beast'

I loved this stamp so I had to use it for my first project..

I stamped her twice on to copic paper and using copics coloured her in as shown. I fussy cut all the coloured pieces on the second one and using 3d foam tape placed them onto the original piece.

I made a rough mask and inked around her. 

Hint: mask the image before you add all the little bits with the 3d foam tape lol.

WARNING: I used the kaisermists to give a little interest but wow it just poured out so my suggestion is to use it from a large height, It nearly spoilt the whole thing so to save it I used a 

 white chalk marker to go around the image to give it a little clarity.. The black iridescent spray  though is totally gorgeous but more of a grey than it is black when it dries. .  

The finished card with lots of shine from the dimensional magic (love this stuff).

I stamped the quote and used the Graphic 45 Matte Pearl Gems to help stand the card up..

As you can see I created a easel card ..

Lots of dimensional magic and kindy glitz just took the image to a new level.

I adore that washie tape and couldn't help myself had to use it twice on this card.

I fussy cut the hat, the cat, the broom and the front pumpkin and popped them all up with 

3D foam tape.. 

Lastly I thought it needed something in the corner and yep perfect..
