Vellum Tea Bags - CC

 Hi all, 

Today I am showcasing the gorgeous vellum from the Earthy Delights Collection. This is beautiful thick 8" x 8" patterned vellum that was delightful to work with.. I want to use this is so many ways that I was dizzy with indecision on what I would do first lol I made the tea bags ...

They are so pretty..

Look at that gorgeous vellum!! Cut a piece at 3 1/2" x 6". On the 6" side score at 2 1/2", 3 " & 3 1/2" Turn and score 1" & 2 1/2" 


Fold your score lines placing a strip of double sided tape along one edge as shown, take off the white backing and adhere the other side over it and smooth.



Fold the tea bag as shown 'W' .


Cut approx 1/8" off the top of the back side and add sequins to both sides. Fold both corners at the back so they meet in the middle, place a length of string in the middle of them and staple. Punch out two small hearts and using the new double sided dots (perfect height btw) adhere them to both the front and back of the tea bag. (Thank you heaps for these ideas & tips Treasured Books). Cut out a square of vellum and cut the corners off. Place the string/ ribbon in the Centre and staple.


Stamp & die cut the embellishments from the collection and again using the new double sided adhesive dots place on the front of the tea bags.. I wanted the pots to shine so I got out the brilliant (honestly) Heat Foiling Pen and a scrap piece of foil and added some bling. Pretty!!


I made some in the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad sheets to mix them up. You have to see the new project I am creating to match these. Keep an eye out..

Australia's Natural Beauties - Paperclip Folder - CC

 Hi all,

My turn on the Couture Creations blog and I have created a folder to store my paperclips in and the ephemera pieces in that I have left over from the kit. Definitely an Australia kit for sure.. 

All Measurements are in inches..

Ink around all the edges with CDEIPU028 Card Deco Essentials Fade Resistant dye ink Brown.
 
Base - Black Cardstock - 12" x 7"    Score @ 4",  4 1/2" , 8 1/2" , 9"
 
Pockets - Black Cardstock - Cut one @ 4" x 7 1/4" Score 1/4" two short sides and one long side.
Cut one @ 3 3/4" x 7 1/4"    Score 1/4" two short sides and one long side.

Cut two black Bands @ 4" x 1 1/4"   Score 1/4 each short end.
Cut two black Bands @ 4 1/4" x 1 1/4"   Score 1/4" each short end.  
 
Strips - 3/8" x  6 7/8" -  Cut 4 (pattern paper)
 
Mats (pattern paper)

Base - Front
Outside - Left Side - 3 3/4" x 6 3/4"
Right Side - 2 3/4" x 6 3/4"
 
Inside - Left Side Pocket -  3 1/2" x 6 7/8"
Middle Pocket - 3 1/4" x 6 7/8"
Right Side - 2 3/4" x 6 7/8" Cut two (front and outside)
 
Bands - 3 1/2 x 1" Cut two
3 3/8" x 1" Cut two

Belly Band - 11" x 1 1/2" 
Mat" 10 3/4" x 1 1/4" (pattern paper)
 
Cut corners from the two pocket scored area, Turn under, adhere the folded areas to the inside card base.  
 



Face the openings of the pockets to each other as shown..


I made a belly band and used velcro dots as the closure.


Loved cutting up the name of the paper to use as an embellishment.


Inside cover and if you look closer you will see I have used the foiling pen on all the animals and flowers..


Two paperclips using the ephemera from the collection.. They fit lovely on the bands inside the folder.. 


Another two paperclip pieces and I just love the Sweet Pea flower with touches of gold foiling..


The folder opened and there is room to store the ephemera in the pockets and more paperclips on the bands..

Storage Box - CC

 Hi all,

As seen as I saw this paper I knew I was going to cover this storage box with it. I have a before photo and they were yuk but now I love it.. I did some fussy cutting with the animals from the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad  and used 3D foam tape to pop them up on the drawers.. I did ink around all the papers and images with brown ink to just highlight the papers.. I found some chipboard Australiana shapes in my stash and inked them as well and again adhered them to the drawers.. Love how this looks now..

12 inch strip die Storage Box CC

 Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing ok.. Today I have a very simple project using the Australia's Natural Beauties Collection. I was so impressed with the storage box I did that I thought I would cover these two boxes to match, they hold my 12 inch strip dies.. The boxes are 14 inches long so I had to add strips on each side and I really like the look. I left the inside brown as it matches the papers and taking the dies in and out all the time would ruin the papers. I simply fussy cut the two images from the 12 x 12 piece of card.

A Book for Sticky Notes - CC

 Hi all,

It's nearly Christmas and in my house we celebrate big time. Lots of decorations, family, friends and food, oh of course there is presents.. I wanted to make one of the little books to include in a present I have for a family member and the elegance papers are just the thing.. They are totally gorgeous. 

I cut a piece of white cardstock to 8 1/2 inches x 3 5/8inches and scored it at 35/8 in, 4 in and 4 3/8 in.  Cut two slits across folded score lines 1 1/4 inches from each end as shown in video. 

First mat: Monarch cardstock - 4 in x 3 1/2 in Cut one for inside back. Second mat: patterned papers - 3 7/8 in x 3 1/4 in cut one. 

First mat: Monarch cardstock 3 1/2 in x 3 1/2 in cover and inside cut two. Second mat patterned paper 3 1/4 in x 3 1/4 in, cut two.

Four Drawers - HHMSA Swap

 Hi all,

I am in a Facebook group called 

Handmade Happy Mail Swaps Australia  

One of our themes was Matchbox drawers. Here is my take on this theme, I used four drawers and made the sides with pattern paper and placed pockets each side to place some goodies in. I filled the drawers with ribbon, bling, flowers and ephemera.. A few paperclips on the side to keep the paper in and a little pop up card on top and it is finished. I loved creating this, it was so much fun..

Brush Holders - CC

 Hi all,

I have created something like this before but I loved it so much that I made two more using these wonderful stamps and alcohol inks to hold my brushes. I love these and still plan on creating more. It just means I have to eat more chips lol..

I created several sheets of coloured papers using the gorgeous alcohol inks, waited for them to dry then stamped the images three times. I dried it using a heat gun.

 Using the twin tip alcohol inks i coloured the flowers roughly. (to my annoyance the black ink smudged). Again I heat set the images and put it aside  



Using the wonderful CO726325 Quick Dry Adhesive I wrapped the paper around the containers and held it there until it held. I then wrapped a piece of washie tape around both containers to finish the container. And it was time to add the brushes. How pretty..

Bits & Pieces Holder CC

 Hi all,

Today I created a bits holder that I totally loved. I will be making more of these pretty holders as they are so handy to use. I want one to hold all the little bits & pieces in that I always seem to have on my desk. 


Using an assortment of alcohol inks I added them to the synthetic paper with the alcohol ink blower to push the colour around. I then stamped the gorgeous Framed Poppies stamp on top and coloured them in using the Twin Tip Alcohol Ink Markers. I love it so much that I wanted to just frame this piece lol


Instead I cut it down a fraction and wrapped it around a cardboard tube I had and adhered it together. I die cut a circle from the scrap paper and adhered it on the top of the tube. 


I adhered a tiny ribbon around the lid and made a tiny bow to match. 



Lots of little bits and bobs are going into this tube, and I am so going to use the Framed tulips stamp on another one to match.
