Hugs & Kisses Box Frame - CC

 Hi all,

My turn on the blog today and I have a project to show you that I love. It is a box frame that I haven't done for ages and I knew this paper was perfect for this..

BLOOMING FRIENDSHIP

Cut a 24 x 25 cm panel and cut an aperture in the centre leaving 5cm on all four sides. (I drew a line as you are not going to see this to make it easier).

Cut another panel at 24 x 25 cm and score at 2.5cm and 5 cm on all four sides. 

Cut away the three squares marked with a cross.

Cut as shown.

Fold the box as shown and glue the tabs on the out side. 

I measured the Papers 4 the same as the first panel and cut the centre out. The actual centre piece fits beautifully in the centre of the box.

Adhere this onto the top of the box flaps.

I did some extra stamping on the centre piece for the box doing a second generation so it was very light.

As soon as I seen the Crackle die I was going to do this. Using a pallet knife I spread some texture paste and used the Crackle die as a stamp to give it the shape as on the paper.

Once the paste dried I then went over it with ink to darken the cracks.

The finished frame with lots of stamping, fussy cutting  and making my own roses. 

I placed different amounts of 3D foam under the extra roses to give them different heights.

I love this saying so used it as a main feature.

The wine bottle was die cut and then traced around and fussy cut for the background. Though you cannot see it there is lots of dimensional magic over the bottle to give the appearance of glass..

Memory Frame - Part Six & All the Bits and Bobs.. - NSD - May - AVSC

Hi all, 

This month for May is National Scrapbooking Day - NSD and in Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft land this last's All of May..

Thank you for allowing me to show you a little of my loved son on what has been a huge emotional time while creating this memory frame.. The tears I have shed has at times stopped me from working on this project but it has also made me remember the good times. 
 I want to sincerely thank Vera for being such a great boss and allowing me to showcase such a personal and meaningful project...

Part Six 

This photo was taken two months before Brendan passed, he had the full beard going in this photo and I have to be honest Brendan was a very proud man so he always looked good except the one time he conned one of his support workers to help him dye his hair white that went
a dirty yellow white - ish. My goodness that was a horror lol..
The flower was created using the Tim Holtz Rosettes die. I fussy cut the number 4 from a scrap
 and glued it on the rosette next to a stamped 0 to form 40.
Brendan passed away 13 days after his 40th birthday

I die cut one large and one medium Rosette.

Using a concertina fold, fold both flowers up.

Adhere the flowers together to form a Rosette adhere the smaller one on top of the large Rosette. 

All the bits & bobs..

On the side I have cut several pieces of paper and added a metal embellishment for some added interest. Using the same paper as the large flowers I also made a tiny one to add to the bottom ..

As on the other side I added a piece of paper and punching out a few tiny flowers adhered them on for fun.

I so wanted to use this bird on the birdcage so decided to place it in the centre of the frame with the words Free To Fly underneath. I cut the butterfly from the sticker sheet and adhered it in the centre only to allow the wings to sit up.

I have a scrabble tiles stamp set from Creative Expressions so decided to stamp and emboss Brendan's name. I cut each tile out and popped them up using 3D foam tape..  

I adore the quote on the sticker sheet and decided to adhere with 3 D foam tape on the bottom with a fussy cut butterfly..

I love these leaves as it represented to me flying and freedom, something Brendan couldn't do being in a wheelchair. I attached these to a chain from Tim Holtz and popped them up

 with a little black 3 D foam tape.

Memory Frame - Part 3, 4 and 5 - NSD - May - AVSC

Part Three: 

I diecut a piece of paper using the Label Seventeen Spellbinders Nestability.
I stamped and diecut the camera and using 3D foam tape popped it on some scrap layers.. The clock I cut from the sticker sheet and again popped this up using foam tape.. I used Dimensional Magic
to give it a little interest.. The bird is fussy cut from a piece of the gorgeous papers but as you see in the finished frame I ended up taking it off..

Part Four

This was the last Christmas we spent together so this photo is special to me.
 My daughter Krystal enjoyed spending time with Brendan at his Christmas BBQ.
Brendan had a temper but his smile lit up his whole face. I was tormenting him here about all the
grey he had in his beard and hair..

The quote from the sticker sheet (kit) 'So Thankful' was perfect for this photo. I used the scraps of the punched border edge in part one for a little interest on the side and added some of the film strip ribbon underneath the photo and attached a clip.

Part Five

Here is a cheeky Brendan in this photo, (he had a limit intake of alcohol due to his ABI) so here he is having a nip that he conned from his sister. He favourite drink - Anything lol
I layered the popped up photo on the gorgeous papers and poked holes along the top to create a border.  I made the flower in the same papers to place on the corner.. Purple was Brendan's favourite colour so the flower represents that.

I have made the flowers using the retro punches from EK Success and a maple leaf from Carl punches. 

I stamped on the leaves with a quote from the Kaisercraft Die & Stamp Set - Keepsake

I inked the around the edges and misted with water.

While wet scrunch up the flowers and then carefully straighten back out as shown.

When dry adhere together and add tiny beads in the centre..

Memory Frame - Part Two - National Scrapbooking Day - NSD - May - AVSC

Hi all, 

This month for May is National Scrapbooking Day - NSD and in Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft land this last's All of May.. 

It is all about memories and stories and photos and so I chose to remember my son who passed away. My heart grieves for him every day and I chose this frame to show you his personality..
This will be a hard month as I go through each process and tell you a little about each photo of him.  

. Please follow along with me and all the Creative team this month.. 

Part Two: 

Cut two pieces of paper as shown and ink around the edges..

I went back over the above and distress the edges with my scissors to give this a little bit of interest.

I cut a butterfly and border off the stickers sheet and adhered as shown. I cut some scraps up to layer the paper using 3 D foam tape to give this dimension.. I also used 3D foam tape to place 

the 'Just Perfect' on as well..

No my son Brendan was not perfect but I thought this picture was of him on his birthday.. 

I always called him 'BOY', always had and even when he used to say I'm a man,

 I still called him boy. He was a solid boy standing 6ft tall and weighing in at 125 kg; he had the hugest laugh that came right from the belly. I once got him stuck in the hospital elevator in his gigantic wheelchair and a lady doctor had to climb over his lap to get out, he loved it, I on the other hand had to call for help lol..
