Tag Booklet CC

 Hi all,

As you can all see with my latest makes I am loving the Vintage Tea collection. I decided to combine this collection with dies from my other old favourite collection 'Steampunk'.. 

All measurements are in inches... I cut the base at 8 1/2 in x 5 3/4 in, score at 4 1/8 in & 4 3/8 in, burnish well.  Cut three pieces of white cardstock 3 7/8 x 5 1/2.                                                                  Cut a front panel with the gorgeous paper at 3 5/8 x 5 1/4.   Adhere the white panels to the front and inside of the booklet. 

Cut two pockets at 4 x 3. Cut two mats with pattern paper at 3 3/4 x 2 3/4. Cut two piece of vellum the same as the pattern paper.  Adhere the base pockets to the inside of the booklet only using a little glue on three sides leaving the top open. Attach the patterned paper to the pockets then add the vellum to the that only adhering the top of the vellum.

Cut tags, stamp images and adhere some together.  Place some trim in the holes and place in the pockets. Stamp & die cut the stacked tea cups three times, adhere together to give a nice solid base. Place pearls on bits of the stamped image. Adhere this onto a paper doily on front of the booklet. Decorate as desired.. (have to love the Ephemera Set)

First time using the Precision Stamp Press and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use. I was concerned with how much pressure I could put on it but it really didn't need a lot so bonus for my old hands.

Skateboy Tag -CC

 Hi all,

I thought I would go with what I love doing and that is a little bit of mixed media.. I started off with a piece of watercolour paper and reinkers.  

Just drag the reinker across the page in three places and spray lots of water on it and lift it up to run down the page. Let it dry, Flatten out and stamp with assorted stamps and using white embossing powder heat to melt. Stamp some doodles around the page in black ink as well. Let dry. 

Add washie tape , and sentiments using a small staple gun for the top one.. Ink around the tag in black ink then sew around the edges. Add the skaterboy topper with 3d foam tape and voila you are done. Easy Peasy!.

Just For You Tag - CC

 Hi all,

I hope you are all well and 2023 is treating you brilliantly. 

I had this Floral Butterfly stamp set for a few months and kept looking at it as it is so pretty when I accidently spilled alcohol ink on it after stamping it out. So I went with it lol. I used a blending tip to take off some of the colour in the flowers and the dots on the wing and thought now what. 

After fussy cutting it I placed it on a card base but I happen to glance at my pile of bits and bobs and seen a tag, too small and wrong colour of course but it gave me an idea. 

Voila this is what I ended up with..

Wild Water Pepper Tag - CC

 Hi all,

I love the Wild Water Peppers stamp, die and stencil set from Couture Creations and decided to create a tag with it.. Did you know the Wild Water Peppers flowers are purple with green leaves! I thought they would be red with the name of peppers in it.. 

Swiping alcohol inks on Synthetic Paper for the background was pretty enough to showcase the flowers. I die cut a tag with some older dies from Couture Creations CO727713 Straight Tags from the Steampunk Collection and inked around the edges.

Once the flowers were stamped and die cut out I placed them on the background using 3D foam strips.

I diecut the word Beautiful CO728660 Smile Sentiment Cutting Die Set four times from cardstock and once from scrap of the tag background paper and adhered together using the CO726325 Quick Dry Adhesive, I added this to the flowers using the adhesive foam strips.

Some ribbon, cotton and string for the hole at the top of the tag and some butterflies (from the same scrap of paper) with a bling for the body and the tag was done.. Easy as

Brought It & Never Used It Challenge - CRDU - August

 Hi all,

How are we all doin in these uncertain times! I'm ok not going anywhere and spending time in my craft room doing what I love doing, Creating..

I am in a a group called Craft Room Down Under (CRDU) on face book and it is a wonderful group. 

We have challenges each month and swap within the group. I have created two cards for this challenge 

which is 'Brought It, Never Used It'. And believe me I have a lot of stuff like that lol.

The first card is basically a one layer card with the word 'explore' being die cut four times to stand out from the background.

I have used the Botanical 662716 3D Texture Fades by Tim Holtz and the #3 Shadow Script 662686 also by Tim Holtz that I had brought and never used both of these.. I embossed the black piece of cardstock and using my finger rubbed over the raised image with Art Alchemy Metallique Wax -Rich Copper.  

The second card or tag I should say I really like as it is so different to what I normally do..

Pretty bird and the background was created using the Distress Ink and Photo Paper technique.

I have used the Botanical 662716 3D Texture Fades by Tim Holtz and the #3 Shadow Script 662686 also by Tim Holtz and the Feathered Friends 664433 by Tim Holtz and Cut OUt Leaves 664431 Tim Holtz  all I had brought and never used. 

I also added Art Alchemy Metallique Wax -Rich Copper and 

a New Art Alchemy Metallique Wax - Burgundy on the base tag.

Tag Folder- The Man Who Won -AVSC

 Hi all,

This month for Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft we have the gorgeous papers from the wonderful Tim Holtz 'Dapper'. and they are so much fun.. 

I wanted to do something a little different and started out with one tag but changed my mind to three as you can see.

I cut a slither off the right hand side one.

I cut three more tags buy hand making them a bit smaller and tore two in different shapes..

I used scraps for this one

All three tags with a base on them.

I used the Distress Embossing Glaze for all tags back and front. 

I had these stamps in my stash but you can get them from Aunty Vera in different sets..

Lots of  stamping and fussy cutting for these tags.

I used the Entomology die and stamp set to colour and cut out.

I stamped and fussy cut the crazy Things ties and hats.. 

I love shaker cards as you all know so created one here with bowler hats on top and again I used the homemade stamped vellum that I created with my first card. I do love that postage stamp die set.

This tag has a moveable piece with the brad holding it in place. 

I stamped the man with the umbrella on the actual mat I used then again on scrap paper and fussy cut out sections. I then placed these on the base with 3D foam tape.

The side tag was very basic with a fussy cut piece as the base and two pen nibs , a hat and a dragonfly attached using 3D foam tape,

The back I left bare.

Harry v's Dementors - Dancing With The Beast - AVSC

Hi all,

How are you all going!, Are you loving this month's theme as we all are..

I brought the Harry Potter die of Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft awhile ago and wanted to use it for one of these projects so I created a tag.. 

 Theme:

Harry Potter v's Twilight  

'Dancing With The Beast'

The Dementors are after Harry but he knows what he is doing 'Expecto Patronum'.

 I die cut a tag from the Stacked Tags die by Tim Holtz and matted it twice with different papers from the gorgeous paper collection..

I know right, dementos do not have eyes that we can see but these nasty ones do. I die cut them from the Frightful Things die set out of some black sparkly card.

 I die cut Harry in several shades and paper pieced him together.   I also cut a black doily in half to adhere to the side of the paper. I die cut the broom in two colours and placed it in front of some cobweb. A few spiders with big big backs (eek!) are after Harry as well.

 I wanted a little something extra for the background so used the Crackle 3D embossing folder from Sizzix. I really like how it worked with such a busy paper.

 Lots of Dimensional Magic and Kindy Glitz helped finish off the tag with a little dyed ribbon for the top..

Tags Duo - Couture Creations

Hi all, 

I was sitting at my desk today and looked at these gorgeous wings I had die cut and knew I wanted to create a tag.  I made two tags instead just because I loved the collections so much..

Steampunk Dreams Collection

Tag One - Keep Memories Safe In Your Heart.

Isn't this pretty. 

I cut two straight tags, one pattern and one plain to adhere underneath to strengthen it.

I die cut the wings and inked around the edges to highlight how pretty they are. 

After stamping the heart I fussy cut it and placed a brad in the centre cog and the top of the wings. 

I placed two foam squares on top of the heart then adhered that to the tag. 

I placed a scrap strip on the tag and added a die cut key from the Straight Tags set with the heart popped up on a foam square. I die cut the cogs and placed them as shown. I love the little dragonfly so stamped the second generation shadow on the tag. I then stamped over the shadow with the outline of the dragonfly. I thought it need more so stamped the outline on scrap paper and fussy cut and popped it up with the wings lifted. Stamping the quote from the Steampunk Sentiments Stamp set and popping it up on Foam squares made this tag I think.. I used Premium Adhesive gems and pearls to finish it all off.

Tag Two - Live Your Dreams

Again using scraps from the My Secret Love Collection I cut the Straight Tag and inked around the edges. Now I just purchased these gorgeous Layered Trilliums dies from the Peaceful Peonies Collection and I love them.. I die cut two sets as shown but left the back off the bottom flower and adhered these over several Open Branch leaves from the Lest We Forget Collection. I again did the same with the dragonfly as above and die cut and fussy cut the butterflies from the Butterfly Flourish mini die. Stamping Live Your Dreams from the Steampunk Sentiments Stamp set and popping it up with foam squares was perfect.. Gems and pearls from Couture Creations finishes the tags off nicely. 

Love these flowers and dragonfly.

I love how the wings open with the Keep Memories Safe In Your Heart Tag.

Adore this stamp which I stamped twice and fussy cut..
