Wild & Crazy Layout - MPCT

 Hi all, 

I have joined Megan's Paper Craft Treasures Design Team (MPCT) and our first challenge was to use a sketch as well as a theme for the month which was Chipboard.. 

Great sketch which I enjoyed putting together with my take on it..

This is my take on the above sketch..

I cut this chipboard in sections, inked around the edges and adhered down on to a piece of cardstock.

I placed three pieces of washie tape each side, Using stencils and blue ink I placed this over the 12 x 12 piece of cardstock. I then used the stencils and modelling paste to go around the paper and photos.

I cut/punched different circles from a piece of the same paper and added foam tape to give it some dimension.  I inked three pennents chipboard and a Loved chipboard and adhered it to the papers.

I added gems to the chipboard. You can see where I added the stencilled modelling paste here.  

Using Blue ink I covered the Wild & Crazy chipboard elements then using brown ink edged the words.. I then covered the chipboard with Dimensional Magic and after drying adhered it onto the washie tape.

I distressed around the edge of the page and inked it with blue ink.

Hi all, 

Here I am on the blog today with Megan using the August theme 'Chipboard and a Card Sketch'.

I love this sketch for the card using chipboard as a focus and really enjoyed creating this card using bright colours and a little bling..

I have had these flower chipboard for ages and I knew this card was perfect to use one of them. 

I used a square card with an embossed white mat. I then cut a strip of paper using the same piece as the smaller heart and adhered this on the embossed mat.

Die-cutting a large black heart I adhered this using 3D foam tape. I then die cut a smaller heart and used 3D foam tape to give this dimension. After adhering the chipboard flower I added a pearl hat pin and a sentiment with tiny staples.

Hi all,

How are we all doing in the second month of the new year.. Hasn't it gone so quick...

For February We have the wonderful Graphic 45 collection Love Notes and all I can say is WOW, it is gorgeous.. It is just so romantic don't you think, and sings out for lace and flowers.. 

For my first project as part of the Creative team for 2020 I decided to create a little movable framed art piece.. I was going to place lace and ribbon on the sides and did try it there but I went for just a simple style to showcase the two little art pieces and so the thing could actually turn around.. 

I pulled the frame to pieces so I could work with it..

I started with  two Ephemera Cards I really liked.

I really wanted to use the  Love Heart small Stencil so decided to use textured paste and a little Inka Gold firstly with LavaRed..

You only need a tiny bit of colour, it really goes a long way.. 

Placing the stencil over the two cards I spread the mix onto the sheet without trying to smudge it..

I did this for both pieces, a lot on one card and only three hearts on the other.. I let them dry and rubbed Gold Inka over the hearts for a little bit more interest..

I wanted to stamp these words but couldn't find a piece of cardstock to match so I cut the top scrap piece on the 12 x 12 card stock and then stamped the image on the middle piece.. Perfect..

I Gold Embossed the words and then once dry cut them down. I love this stamp set and thought these words perfect for this project..

I added a punched out dragonfly and a chipboard piece as well as a sticker mounted on 3D foam tape.. A few sequins and it was done..

The frame turns so you can have either side showing..

The second side..Again using stickers, a punched dragonfly and bling as well as gold embossed words, marked this as a lovely and elegant piece..

the inside simply turns around, that is one of the reason I didn't place anything on the actual frame though I am still thinking of alcohol inks.. lol

As you can see it turns completely around..

My Takes on NSD Month - AVSC

Hi all,

How are we going along today?

I had a pretty good one enjoying lots of laughter with a few friends up in the studio..

And bulldusting may I also add hehe..

Anyway to get to the point here are my takes on the challenges that are on Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft Here. Go and have a look at all the brilliant Creative Team Challenges which has tutorials for all of them may I add...

This was my take from Wendy's Flat Pack Time Capsule..

I am going to take Wendy's advice and create one for each of my grandchildren to open when they are teens.. See Wendy's tutorial Here for all the details.. Love this idea so much..

 

Silvia's Challenge Here was a Scrap Page created from a sketch.. This is my take on it..  I die cut the border with a Martha Steward Heart Border Punch then used the hearts on the side to highlight the border.. How wonderful did this turn out..

 

Tina's challenge  Here  

was a beauty.. I adore Easel cards and Shaker cards so when Tina combined the two I was in heaven lol.. Tina then took it to a whole new level and added a Book under it.. Brilliant!!

Tina had a shaped tag, I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Butterfly Round Die.

The book opened..

My favourite embossing powder by far.. Wonderful with shabby chic kind of things..

 I hope you can see the gold shine on all the flowers on all the papers I did.. It just gave them the extra sparkle they needed.. I am not sure if I will make a photo album from this or a quote book..

Gina's challenge is a Junk Journal Here.
I had so much fun with this one as well.. She created two signatures
and a cover so this is my take on them plus an extra signature..

Signature Two

This paper was from Ultimate Crafts and is called Magnolia Lane..

Inside Signature One, which I placed homemade paper, tissue, envelopes, music paper, paper bag and doilies to name a few..  I have yet to add more tags and bits and bobs..

This is an interactive signature as you will see.. Wonderful choices Gina..

The first page was a fold down and a fold up flaps with pockets underneath..

The second page was a fold over pocket with a tag..

The back of the signature had a waterfall effect, I think Gina made four and I did five.. As yet am to add photos to all of this Junk Journal..

I created a Third Signature using a napkin and acetate with a sewing pattern piece of tissue

 on the inside to give the napkin extra strength..

I only added a few pages to this little one with some sewing, lace and ribbon..

All of my challenges together.. 

My theme was Recipes this month as that is what brings my family and many many great 

memories together..
