Odd & Ends & Catch-ups

 Hi all, 

Wow it has been awhile since I have published anything on my blog. A lot has happened since my last post. Family issues, health issues, money issues and time issues. 

Good news , we are building a granny unit as the house is too big for us, bad news the council is driving us to distraction... 

All the grandkids have grown so much that I actually miss them being babies.. I still get heaps of cuddles so I am happy even if it has to happen with a bribe sometimes lol

I haven't been in the studio much so haven't got a lot to show but will do so with what I have done.. 

I do hope your year is filled with lots of love and laughter..

I have joined a swap with a group in Facebook and this swap is a recipe pocket and recipes for 10 months. We swap with a different partner every month and at the end we make all the pockets into a recipe book. I am so excited for this swap.. This is my February pocket.

Same group but different swap, this one was a never-ending card which I chose a space theme. These are really cool to make.

Pocket & Tag CC

 Hi all

 I have created a pocket & tag with the gorgeous new Vintage Tea Collection. I will add this to the gorgeous expanding envelope pouch I created. I will do a video to show you all of things I create with the gorgeous Vintage Tea Collection and when I am finished, I will add the link here..

I had a die in my stash from ages ago and decided I would use the beautiful collection to finally make something from it.. (yep had it and not used it as we crafters do). I made the rosette flower from the same collection and totally loved it.. The tag I kept simple with some ephemera and a word to describe the paper..  I think this would have to be my favourite collection.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Today I created a shaker hanger for Valentine's day using the wonderful Elegance Paper from Couture Creations.. Using the heart dies from Spellbinders I created this adorable hanger with delish little shaker bits of teddies, lips and love notes.. 

I fussy cut the foil flower from one of the pieces of paper and have to be honest loved the whole effect..

Peaceful Card - CC

 Hi all,

A card today using the wonderful Lavender Love Collection and look how pretty it is.. This was such a simple card to make due to the fact of the papers and the ephemera set which really created itself.. I really do like that using the peaceful die cut was a difference to using the most common phases.. 

I did use a little glitter as is my style and a little shine as is my go to, and look at that dragonfly die wowers love it..

Rocker Card

 Hi all,

Today I created a rocker card using the wonderful Lavender Love Collection. I just love the shades of purple and lavender this paper has.

I used a die from Snazzie Scrappin to cut this card out and it was quite simple to put together. 

Having the ephemera set with this collection was such a bonus.

Apron Card

Hi all,

I'm back with a card shaped as an apron using the Lavender Love Collection. I am so enjoying creating these shaped cards from Snazzie Scrappin and I think it is good to show you that you can use any paper to create something wonderful. I have used a die in my stash for this card. And isn't this card brilliant as a garden card for that person that loves gardening...

I cut the spade and fork out three times, then using the whit as a base then the silver foil and lastly I cut the handles out of a scrap piece of Lavender Love paper. They are so cute!!

I did the same with the water bottle as the tools and added a little bit of shine for the water. This whole card is stinkin cute!!

How pretty does it look inside of the card.. I am going to be making some of these with recipes in them to give as gifts in the new year.

Friendship Paper Clip Art - CC

 Hi all, 

My turn on the blog today and I have to be honest I just loved this project. In fact I love everything about it lol. It is a paperclip Art piece I made for a group I am in. The theme is Friendship and what better way to show that than these gorgeous papers.

BLOOMING FRIENDSHIP

The paperclip is 3 inches x 2 1/2 inches. 

I used some scrap paper for the background which I stitched around twice. Rolled roses are so easy to do and I really loved how they turned out with this paper collection.. 

I added a tab with some scrap paper to the clip so it is easy to pull out if I need it.

All Together Heart of Mine -AVSC

Hi all,

Wow this month has gone so fast,

I wanted to show you all four projects I created for AVSC as part of her Creative Team...

I adored creating this month...

Firstly I did a swinging photo frame which i can swap out when I want to. 

I then made a card folder/ holder/ pouch with a shaker front and it just came together beautifully..

Inside the holder which hold four bulky cards and envelopes or six flatter cards and envelopes..

All six cards together and the envelopes.

The Grid Board... I just totally adore this and will be hanging this up on my wall.. I am going to try and get a better photo as this does not do it justice at all..

All four projects together..

Love Cards - Heart of Mine - AVSC

Hi all,

I just love how these cards turned out .

They fit in the Card Folder I created for AVSC..

(well four do since I made them too bulky lol)

I stamped the large butterfly six times on the gorgeous paper and fussy cut them out..

I thought they looked a little plain so using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink I stamped a little of a word on the wings.

I cut 3 cream and 3 black cards at 8 inches x 4 1/4 inches, score in half.

For the black cards I cut 3 cream mats and 3 black mats for the cream cards. 

They measure at 3 3/4 inches x 4 inches.

I cut 6 mats from the gorgeous paper at 3 1/2 inches x 3 3/4 inches.

Card 1. A piece of lace, 3 pears, some dyed seam binding and chipboard and the card is done.

In all the cards I placed a strip of patterned paper.

Card 2. I didn't want to cover the quote so how simple is this..

Card 3. A piece of lace, some die cut music notes and a chipboard butterfly and voila 

the card is done.

Card 4. Using chipboard on all the cards and the fussy cut butterfly ties all the cards together.

Card 5. How cute these cards are I think.

Card 6. The photo does not do this card justice, it is my favourite to be honest..

I created envelopes to go with the cards and thought why not show you how to make ones that you might already own.

I sealed the envelopes shut and cut at 4 1/4 inches  

Note : I must have thought I was left handed because when you turn these around then that is how you open them lol..  SO cut from the front on the right hand side. . 

Cut six pieces of paper at 2 1/4 inches x the length of your envelope. Score at 3/4 inches and punch two corners. Again NOTE: the pattern of the paper and the side..

Adhere to the envelopes as shown on the front.
