Sitting Pretty Box - Couture Creations

 Hi all,

Did you know you can paint Alcohol Ink on to cardboard!. I found this out by accident and thought ok something else I can use them for. The list is adding up of uses for alcohol inks. 

So knowing this now I decided to repurpose a box to hold my dangles in I made last month. 

Pour a little alcohol inks onto the glass mat with a little blending solution and using a paint brush go over the box however you like. Let dry. I did do a coat of Gesso on the box first as it was black. 

Stamp the Sitting Pretty image and colour in using the Twin Tip Alcohol Ink Markers, then fussy cut the image.

Adhere the image with 3D foam tape to the top of the box with a little gauze. Stamp the butterflies on  scrap alcohol ink paper and fussy cut them out. I stamped double the amount of butterflies and adhered the middle bodies so I could lift the wings to give a little dimension.

I then cut a scrap of the alcohol ink paper and stamped the word love and the border edge from the Spread Your Wings Butterfly outline stamp set and adhered it to the bottom edge of the box.  

You can see the Sitting Pretty stamp image on the front of the box and next to it is the shrink art piece. You can see the size difference. 

The two shrink art dangles.

The painted sides of the box with the lushious gold on top.
